I call Westerly, Rhode Island my home town and URI my Alma Mater. I have three beautiful daughters, one in college, one just graduated from high school and one just promoted from eighth grade. I have a bachelors of science degree and I have been a retail pharmacist for twenty-four years. I have always wanted to teach but my high school guidance counselor talked me out of a career in education. After twenty-four years on the bench I have decided to follow my dream and to that end I have returned to URI to receive a teaching certificate and earn a masters of education. At present time, my focus is on elementary education however, the required literacy classes and the course on students with special needs have certainly piqued my interests. I have already completed two semesters towards my goal and I am pleasantly surprised by how much I am truly enjoying being back in school.
